Qualifications:
-
2+ years of experience as an MA in a busy Family Practice clinic setting
-
Medical Assisting degree, CMA preferred
-
Stable work history, verifiable employment references/credentials
-
CPR/ First Aid certification
-
Competent in all aspects of MA clinical responsibilities
-
Ability to manage patient flow of 20 to 30 patients per day to maximize provider’s efficiency
-
Ability to coordinate patient flow for more than one provider, as needed.
-
Competent, proficient with windows based EMR software (Intergy preferred), plus Word, Excel & Outlook.
-
Command of medical terminology and common medical abbreviations
-
Proficient English skills – speaking, reading, writing, understanding. Bi-lingual skills helpful.

Excellent interpersonal skills as demonstrated by clear, concise and considerate verbal and written communications; successful conflict resolution skills

Collaborative problem solving skills; sound judgment

Ability to establish priorities; excellent organizational skills

Medical office or billing experience preferred

Prior experience preparing and balancing bank deposits

Computer literate with Word, Excel, and Outlook

10-key by touch

Accurate math skills and attention to detail

Able to efficiently plan, organize, and prioritize work

Desire and ability to learn quickly, and pick up new information easily

Experience using customary office equipment such as fax, copier, and scanner

Greet visitors in a gracious and welcoming manner

Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls

Take accurate messages and route to the appropriate person

Prepare and balance daily bank deposit
-
Open and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail daily

Maintain postage machine and other front-office equipment
-
