Anshu Dhingra, MD joined the group in May 2010, and currently practices at our Beaverton clinic. She received her medical degree from G.R. Medical College in Gwalior, India and came to the U.S. in 1996 when her husband was transferred here. She successfully completed her USMLE requirements and then began her introduction to U.S. medicine. Dr. Dhingra is Board Certified in Family Practice.
Dr. Dhingra is interested in all aspects of family medicine, but focuses on pediatrics and women’s healthcare. She is fluent in both Hindi and Punjabi.
She is married with two children. She enjoys reading, watching movies, and listening to music.

John Gilligan, MD joined the group in 1996 and currently practices at our Beaverton clinic. He received his medical degree in the Dominican Republic at Santo Domingo in 1984, and completed a Family Practice residency at St. Catherine’s Family Practice Center in Kenosha, Wisconsin in 1995. Dr. Gilligan is Board Certified in Family Practice. Dr. Gilligan feels that Family Practice is the foundation of medicine, “You treat children one minute, and senior citizens in the next.” Dr. Gilligan was hoping for warmer winters when he moved to Oregon from Wisconsin in 1996, but has found his niche in the Northwest.
Wendy Hawthorne, ANP joined the group in 1997 and currently practices at our Beaverton clinic. She completed her Masters of Nursing in the Adult Practitioner program at OHSU in 1997. Wendy is Board Certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner.
Wendy grew up in Beaverton and has lived here all her life. She strives to partner with her patients in an effort to provide them with excellent care in optimizing their health status. Wendy enjoys cooking, outdoor activities, and spending time with her family.
Burton Silverman, MD joined the group in 1996, and currently practices at our Beaverton clinic. He received his medical degree from Baylor Medical School in Houston, Texas in 1966, and completed a Family Practice residency in Syracuse, New York in 1969. Dr. Silverman is Board Certified in Family Practice, and is charter member of the American Board of Family Practice.
Dr. Silverman moved to the area after practicing medicine in Texas for more than 20 years. Since living in Portland, he has come to greatly appreciate its geographic beauty, small town feel, and the congeniality of its people.
